Meet the Team at Smile Tucson Family Dentistry
We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I graduated from Pima Community College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in 2014. While in school I served as a Community Service Director for student council and was awarded with an Achievement for Outstanding Efforts in Community Service. I am a proud member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and regularly attend continuing education conferences. I perform routine dental cleanings as well as non-surgical periodontal cleanings to manage chronic periodontal inflammation. Our appointments will be thorough and include an oral cancer screening, periodontal charting, and a personalized recommended home care strategy for you. I excel with pediatric and special needs patients. If you are nervous or phobic about dental care please let me know! My grounded personality and gentle hand will put you at ease so you can relax during your cleaning appointment.
I moved to Tucson from Cody, Wyoming after graduating high school. I am happily married to the love of my life and together we have two beautiful children. In my free time I enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling. I am a health nut at heart and love eating healthy foods and exercising to feel my best. My goal is to help you achieve optimal oral health and to maintain a healthy smile for the rest of your life!
I grew up in Sierra Vista, Arizona. As soon as I graduated from high school I had aspirations of becoming a dental hygienist. I attended Pima Community College where I played basketball and studied to be a dental assistant. Once I finished the dental assisting program I was able to go directly into the dental hygiene program. During hygiene school I was elected class president by my peers. I graduated in 2003 and immediately began helping people change their perception about coming to the dentist. Patients have told me they truly love coming to the office for their cleanings! I have been in the dental field for 15 years and I truly love my job. I take great pride in delivering a wonderful and calm experience, helping you achieve maximum oral health and maintaining your smile. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Drs. Garcia, Cross and the exceptional staff at Smile Tucson Family Dentistry. I am a people person and I love learning all about our patients!
I am a mom to two wonderful kids that keep my husband and I very busy. We enjoy camping, traveling and every aspect of sports. With extended family living near me I get to spend a lot of time with my two nephews.
I meet with each patient to discuss the doctor’s diagnosis and needed treatment. I help answer patient questions about why treatment is important and to provide knowledge so patients have a clear understanding of the clinical findings. I also help patients understand insurance and benefit breakdowns and estimated costs of their treatment to best maximize their yearly insurance benefits. Prior to joining the team at Smile Tucson in 2014, my background was in the financial industry, having seven years of management experience. As a member of this team, I love being part of something positive, and always finding a way to truly help every patient we see.
My free time is spent with my fiancé and our two children. I love to get out of the house and spending our day outdoors hiking, take bike rides, swimming, and taking part in any local family friendly community events. We really like to take advantage of Tucson’s beautiful weather!
I have my Associate’s degree in Science Administration and Office Support from Pima Community College, which comes in handy when dealing with insurance and communicating with patients. I joined Smile Tucson in 2005 as a total “greenhorn” in dentistry; initially, I felt like I was trying to drink from a fire hose while learning everything “dental”! I loved it all then and still do today. Any skill or ability I have is given in a complete effort to make the doctors’ and dental assistants’ jobs easier. Knowing they are successful is why I love working with our ST team!
My free time is spent playing volleyball, researching genealogy, sewing, and riding my bicycle.
I am originally from Sierra Vista and moved to Tucson in 2008. I absolutely love it here! It is a pleasure to be part of the awesome team at Smile Tucson. I look forward to greeting you with a smile and my goal is to help you feel comfortable so you can have a great dental experience. I have been in the dental field for 7 years and I truly love it. I am fluent in Spanish and am passionate about being a patient advocate. I can help you with insurance questions and any general concerns you may have. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family!
When not at the office or attending continuing education classes I enjoy spending time with my family. I am the mother to a wonderful 13 year old son and love being a soccer mom! During my free time I enjoy reading, going on walks and hiking. My son and I love the outdoors and travelling.
I look forward to meeting you and building lasting relationships with you and your family.
I graduated with honors from Pima Medical Institute and have been assisting for 13 years. I truly love what I do and all the wonderful people I get to meet each day. I work closely with the doctor from the beginning to the end of your appointment so if there is anything I can do to make your experience more comfortable, let me know and I will gladly take care of you!
Outside of work you will always find me with my daughter. Roller skating and watching movies are our favorite things to do together. We also have 3 dogs that go everywhere with us. They love to be in the car with their heads out of the window! We all love the park and like to take long walks. Our dogs keep us both very active and are always in the mood for fun.
I graduated from Carrington College Dental Assisting program with honors in 2013. My job entails supporting the doctor in all aspects of a procedure and caring for the patient from start to finish. I feel like the most important part of my job is ensuring all patients—whether they are a new patient, a returning patient, or a phobic patient—feel relaxed and calm during procedures.
My life outside of work is filled with three little girls and a lovely girlfriend. I like to stay fit by doing various sports. When not at work, I love spending time with my family.
